Three members of our research group, namely Donát Gacov, Márk Váradi and Dr. Dávid Ispán, participated in the 11th International Conference on New Trends in Chemistry (ICNTC) in Bologna, Italy.
They presented their research topic as a poster:
- Donát Gacov, Dávid Ispán, Rita Skoda-Földes: Preparation of 2-oxazolidinone derivatives using carbon dioxide as C1 building block in ionic liquid solvent
- Márk Váradi, Mátyás J. Gazsi, Rita Skoda-Földes: Synthesis and spectroscopic investigation of host-guest interactions in ferrocenylpyrimidines
- Dávid Ispán, Áron Küzdő, Réka Gecse, Rita Skoda-Földes: CO2 as a building block in the synthesis of steroidal oxazolidinones
The conference also provided a great opportunity to establish new international collaborations, as several people from Turkey, Croatia, Poland, Iran, Algeria, and the Republic of South Africa participated in the conference.
Hungary was represented solely by the group members at the conference. The colleagues performed skillfully, speaking about their research field to many interested people. In addition to their profession, they also had the opportunity to participate in cultural programs, so they could get to know the city of Bologna, but they also went on trips to Firenze and Pisa.
